Latest Beauty Favs

Do you ever watch makeup tutorials on youtube? A couple times a year I'll get in the mood to freshen up my makeup routine or see what new products are popular and I'll get hooked watching videos online for a few hours. I find I only ever have time to do this over a long break from school and usually during the winter. So over winter break last month I got the itch to try a few new products after I received a gift card to Sephora for Christmas.
I could spend a lot of time in that store if I let myself! I never used to purchase makeup from anywhere besides a drugstore. Well, except one time in college I bought a kit of mineral makeup from an infomercial. I actually liked it a lot, ha! Anyway, a few years ago I tried a pricier liquid foundation and loved it. Sometimes the higher price does give you a much better product and often it will last you a lot longer. And sometimes the drugstore version is just as good. I thought I'd share some of my latest favorites that are new{ish} to me.

Bare Minerals Well-Rested  //  I have dark circles so I use this on top of my regular concealer. This is more of a highlighting creme and it brightens up the eye area really well.

YSL Lipstick in Nude Beige  //  This was something I wanted to try for a loooooooonnnng time. A ridiculous price for a lipstick I know but it is amazing. I never wore lipstick much but always wanted to find that just right color. This is perfect because its creamy and light. And the color is perfect. And it will last forever. And I like the smell. See how I'm justifying this?

Young Living Satin Facial Scrub  //  I love this facial scrub! I use it a few times a week after I wash my face.

Young Living Frankincense Oil  //   Several months ago I started putting a drop of this in my moisterizer at night and I have definitely noticed a difference in the tone of my skin. Maybe a little brighter, too. I'm obsessed.

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder  //   I needed a good setting powder on days I use liquid foundation and I heard a lot of good reviews on youtube. I like this a lot because it gives your skin a nice, soft finish without adding a lot of extra color or a white cast.

e.l.f. High Definition Undereye Setting Powder  //  I really wanted to try the Laura Mercier version of this...called secret brightening power, maybe? Anyway, this seemed very similar and was like three bucks. I set my concealer and brightener with this and it works well.
